To get a Thai Marriage Visa (Non-O), you need a valid passport, proof of legal marriage to a Thai citizen (Thai Marriage Certificate/Kor Ror 3), your Thai spouse’s ID/House Reg., photos, home map, and must meet financial proof of ฿400,000 in a Thai bank for 2+ months or ฿40,000 monthly income via embassy letter, plus documents proving real relationship (family photos, home visit often required).
Key Requirements:
- Passport: Valid for at least 6 months with blank pages.
- Marriage Proof: Thai Marriage Certificate (Kor Ror 3) and Marriage Registration (Kor Ror 2) if married in Thailand. If married abroad, you’ll need embassy certification.
- Thai Spouse Docs
- Thai ID Card & House Registration (Tabian Baan)
- Financial Proof:
- Option 1 (Bank Deposit): ฿400,000 in a Thai bank account for at least 2 months (3 months for renewals).
- Option 2 (Income): ฿40,000 monthly income, verified by a letter from your home embassy/consulate.
- Relationship Proof (For Conversion/Renewal):
- Photos of you and your spouse (family, home interior/exterior).
- Map to your residence.
- Home inspection by immigration may occur.
- Application: Completed visa application form and passport-sized photos.
Important Considerations:
- Application Location: Apply at a Thai Embassy/Consulate abroad or convert from another visa (like Tourist) in Thailand.
- Verification: Immigration often conducts random house visits and interviews neighbors to confirm the relationship is genuine.
- Work: A marriage visa allows you to work legally in Thailand if you also get a work permit.
